Ellison's Grandmother MeMac, Great Grandmother Meme and her Aunts (Sarah, Heather and Delisa) hosted a Sip and See for her yesterday in Connor's hometown of Columbia! It was so nice and great to meet everyone. Ellison did great...she took a little snooze in the middle of the party but she was so good.

Ellison's Godparents got married this past weekend...it was quite an eventful 5 days! We are so excited for Griffin and Diana, they truly are perfect for one another and both mean the world to us. Ellison did not participate in all of the wedding festivities because she is not quite old enough to stay out past her bed time. She did attend the wedding brunch so many people got to meet her and she was talked about all weekend long. Connor and I were able to enjoy several evenings out with each other and special friends!
CONGRATULATIONS Dr. and Mrs. Griffin Myers!

Our neighbors, Julie and Drew, just had a baby girl 2 weeks ago. Julie's mom has been in town helping them and we decided to have a girly lunch with the new grandmothers, new mommies and celebration of the new daughters...Baby Grayson Kate and Baby Ellison McKinley!

We had a big day yesterday- we went shopping for 4 hours and Ellison stayed awake pretty much the whole time and was in the best mood. She takes after all the women in my family :) We went with my mother and grandmother so it was four generations of shopping! I don't think about it much but four generations of females in a family is pretty special and unique. Of course we all spent money on Ellison and not on ourselves. My goal was to start buying clothes I need for Student Teaching however between the 3 of us we purchased Ellison a precious dress for her Sip and See coming up that her Grandma Mac, Meme and Aunts are throwing, more pajamas because she is growing like a weed and her 4th of July outfit (which really is not necessary but we could not resist)! For the past several weeks, Ellison has been drooling NON STOP and anything that touches or brushes against her hand she grabs it and heads straight for her mouth. I was trying to avoid this but she has hit the time for permanently keeping a bib attached to her to keep her clothes dry. Of course now the bib is just another item for her to grab and put in her mouth which produces even more drool...

We are loving the summer time! Ellison turned 3 months old last week, we celebrated Connor's first Father's Day, we have been out & about making new friends and enjoying summer festivities! Ellison and I loved spoiling Connor on Father's Day- we made him breakfast, Ellison was dressed in "I Love Daddy" attire (bib and onsie), Ellison was in a very happy and playful mood (which she usually is but a little bit more than usual on this particular day). We ran around all over the place this past weekend...we celebrated Father's Day with Connor's dad in Columbia, visited with my family for awhile and went to Ellison's Aunt Heather and Uncle Ben's house to celebrate her Grandma Mac's birthday. Ellison made new friends with Miss Grayson Kate Hollowell (a friend of our's new born baby who lives across the street) and with Miss Ava (a 19 month old that just moved in next door to us).
I am starting to get a little bummed with how fast time is going by- I have 7 weeks left till I start student teaching to finish my graduate degree. I am excited to get into the classroom and be done with everything, however I am not close to being ready to leave Ellison full time. I am so blessed to have family and friends caring for her during the full 12 weeks so we won't have to place her in day care. BUT I would rather be the one at home with her and watching her change & grow every minute of each day.
Some other exciting events coming up...Ellison's Godparents are getting married next weekend, we have a neighborhood summer party to attend and the Fourth of July to celebrate! Some how the days and weekends just keep getting booked up! Hope everyone is doing great and enjoying their summer!

We are loving the summer time! Ellison has made several trips to our neighborhood pool in the past few days. She LOVES the water and could care less if you put her in it. This past week we celebrated Grandpa's birthday (my dad), my parents' anniversary, played in the pool w/ friends, had great nights of sleep (Ellison averages about 8-10 hour stretches a night)and had lots of play time at home (she can roll from her back to belly like a champ!). Time just does not seem to slow down- I love watching Ellison change and grow but I don't want it to pass by so quickly! I have a little less than 2 months left to be at home with her full time- then I start my student teaching. It will be so hard to give up my full time and attention with her. I can hardly stand being away from her to just run a quick errand for an hour or so. At the same time, I feel so blessed and lucky to have these 5 months to be a stay at home mommy- which would not have been possible if it weren't for my awesome and loving husband working so hard! We have a couple of exciting things to celebrate this week and weekend. Our 4 year anniversary is Thursday, Ellison turns 3 months old on Friday, we are celebrating Grandma Mac's birthday Sunday AND we are excited to celebrate Connor's first Father's Day! It will be a busy end of the week and weekend for us! Here are some new pictures...ENJOY!
