Happy Birthday to Daddy and Pumpkin Fest

So this past week has been crazy busy! It was my last teaching week (I only have one more to go but I am just observing other classes so I am pretty much done). Connor celebrated his 28th birthday this past Monday (10-20)...HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! It was Uncle Jeff's last week for his "manny" duties...(we love you so much and can't express how much we appreciate your help with Miss Ellie Bean!). We are loving the cooler weather...we actually had to pull out Ellison's winter hats and her coat for our evening walks. We had a great weekend...yesterday we took Ellison to downtown Franklin for the Pumpkin Fest. We have a bunch of people helping out with Ellison this week (thank you GJ, Aunt Sarah and Miss Jill). We are very excited about Halloween this Friday! We hope every one has a great week!

Gentry's Farm Pumpkin Patch

Sorry I have not blogged in awhile. Our computer has been out of use but I am borrowing my mom's laptop because I couldn't wait any longer to get some of Ellison's pictures downloaded. A quick update...last week we went to Gentry's Farm during my Fall break to pick out our pumpkins for Halloween. Ellison was precious in the pumpkin patch! She did very well considering we had her out there for over an hour, it was chilly and nap time. We found the perfect pumpkin for her to pick out.

Fall Break!

I start my Fall break today (I have Thursday and Friday off) so that makes a 4 day weekend for me. I am very excited! Ellison had a good week so far. She spent Monday & Tuesday with her MeMac. Today my mom (GJ) had her and brought her to my school to visit during our Fall party. Ellison loved the art project the kids were working on...making turkey pumpkins. The kids were taking turns keeping her entertained, it was precious. We are going to Gentry's Farm to their pumpkin patch this weekend. I will post pictures because there were be a lot I am sure. I hope everyone has a good rest of the week!

Trip to Columbia...

I had to post some of the pictures we took while we were in Columbia tonight eating dinner with some of Connor's family. Ellison had a chance to visit with Jen Mama, T-daddy, Aunt Sarah, Aunt Liza, Aunt Alex, Aunt Carly, Uncle Bo, Mama Doris and the precious new addition to Bo and Carly's family...Trace (the adorable puppy). Ellison LOVED Trace and could not get enough of him. She would pull his hair a little too hard though and he yelped a couple of times but he forgave her by giving her lots of kisses.

Another week passing by...

I am on the count down! I officially have 8 more days of teaching over the next 2 weeks. This upcoming week is Fall break so that gives me a 4 day weekend which I am very excited about. Uncle Jeff took care of Ellison this week...he only has 1 more week left of his "manny" duties :( They had fun visiting with family and friends this week. He took her to the Nashville Zoo with one of his friends who has 2 daughters. We have been awful at taking pictures of Ellison over these past few weeks. I promise I will make up for it when I am at home for Fall break with her. We aren't doing too much this weekend just the usual stuff around the house, I have school work to do and enjoying our time as a little family. We have enjoyed hanging with our neighbors and friends because the weather is so nice! I will post more soon but I just wanted to check in! Have a great weekend :)

Hoot Scoot and Boogie

Another week has passed by and that leaves me with 3 more weeks left of teaching. Then I will be home with Ellison through the holidays! I can't wait :) Today was Hoot Scoot and Boogie at the elementary school I am teaching at (Oak View). It is a spirit week followed by the huge Hoot Scoot and Boogie fundraiser event (which includes a carnival for all students, their families and an amazing silent auction- the items were incredible). Connor brought Ellison to the big event. They got to meet a lot of the students in my class, their parents and other teachers I work with. It was fun and Ellison officially rode on her first carnival ride...it was a train ride around the school parking lot (it's a start!). We are busy this weekend with friends in town, a wedding, garage sale and for me more school work! Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! Note: Ellison was strutting her Oak View "Owl" spirit with her cute little shirt:)
