We spent our Thanksgiving all day visiting Connor's family in Columbia. Ellison was an angel and her only meltdown was when we were loading her in the car seat to go home after 8 hours of visiting with tons of family and only a 30 minute nap all day. I think that is pretty good! We had a really nice time with everyone. We missed seeing my family but look forward to being with them a lot over Christmas! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving...here are a few sweet photos with everyone that we visited with through out the day. Good night!

We are back from Vanderbilt Children's Hospital and Ellison did great! The ultrasound was super easy and Ellison held perfectly still while being mesmerized by the piece of machinery. The VCUG was better than I thought. We (Connor and I) were both able to be with her. The nurse and tech worked very quickly and had music for her to keep her distracted. It was completed within about 5 minutes. Ellison passed out cold in the car driving home. The nap was over as soon as we pulled in the driveway and she has been her normal awake self since we got home. Our pediatrician has already received the results of the tests. He just called and said the ultrasound showed that her anatomy looks perfect and the VCUG showed she did not have reflux. The infection was probably caused by normal things. We are relieved and glad it is done. Thank you for the sweet thoughts and messages...

Tomorrow will be a bit of a rough afternoon for us. After the little illness Ellison had about a week ago, she ended up having a urinary tract infection. Well it was cured with a common antibiotic, however being so young the doctor set her up to have a couple of tests done at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital (a renal ultrasound and a VCUG) to check out her urinary tract and kidneys. The doctor is pretty certain she may have bladder reflux. These tests will tell us if she does. If she does all we would have to do is keep her on a low dose medication daily and she will probably out grow it. Overall we are very thankful it is what it is and not something worse. At the same time it is hard putting a baby (especially your own) through the discomfort of the testing and procedures. We just ask for an extra sweet and special thought from everyone tomorrow in hopes that things run as smoothly as possible with as little discomfort as possible. We will let you know how it all goes! Thank you and have a great evening :)

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! We went to church this morning and couldn't resist capturing a few sweet photos of Miss Ellison in her Fall dress. We have had a good weekend so far. Ellison is feeling MUCH better and is back to her playful self. In fact she seems to be more into playing and talking non-stop since she got sick a couple of day ago. We've been spending a lot of time together which is so nice. Ellison is getting a lot better with tolerating "tummy time" and is trying really hard to figure out how to coordinate her body to crawl. We are not crawling yet but wouldn't be surprised if she is in the next couple of weeks. We have a pretty easy week coming up and hope everyone has a nice Sunday afternoon!

Ellison and I had a good week at home. We attended our little friend's birthday party (Happy 2nd Birthday Ava), we visited with some family, mommy got lots of work done on her portfolio for school (thanks for the help GJ), mommy got to see her best friend (Bagel-she lives in Knoxville) and Bagel's little pumpkin that is growing in her belly (congratulations Ryan and Jen!!!). Mommy and daddy took a trip to Columbia to get their teeth cleaned at Ellison's granddaddy's office and Miss Ellison had the best time showing off how cute she is. Yesterday was a not so great day for our precious little girl. She had her first official sick day with a fever and had a very crabby mood on the side. Mommy took Ellison to the doctor where she got great treatment and is doing much better today. We could not resist taking a "sick" photo of Ellison last night (see above). We are so bad! She slept great through the night (we never heard a peep) and the fever has gone down. She was happy and playful this morning, her appetite is back and right now she is napping. We are glad it is the weekend- I need to get some major clean up done around my house since my school work is just about completed. We hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!

This is my first week back at home with Ellison and I am loving it! We have had a busy week already and it is only Wednesday! Monday we went to visit daddy at work and Ellison ran errands with mommy. Yesterday we hung at the house for awhile so I could work on my portfolio that I have to submit for school. We ran more errands yesterday afternoon. Today Ellison had a play date with her friend Thomas. So we went over to his house for the morning and visited with great grandma Nan this afternoon. Ellison only slept a total of 30 minutes the whole entire day! Earlier this evening, Connor and I worked quickly to transition Ellison into her new room. We decided to move her into one of our other bedrooms because we want to turn her "old" room into a playroom for her. We just figured we already have a ton of toys and goodies scattered throughout our house (in fact we don't have a dining room right now because it is Ellison's play area downstairs). So we are setting up a nice playroom upstairs with a TV, comfy chairs and all of Ellison's entertainment. Her new room is super cute, it cuts down on the noise level and just feels cozier for her. Here are some pics of us playing and enjoying our days together at home...
