Our girly girl...almost ;)

We have had a very nice weekend! I can't believe tomorrow is Monday already :( Our weekend was filled with some shopping, playing at the park, having lots of fun at a friend's birthday party, church, strolling around downtown Franklin on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and spending time together :) One other thing that Ellison has been busy doing is pushing around her play baby stroller. I mean for hours! She just rotates around our downstairs (which does a circle through all of the rooms). The funny thing is she would rather push her burpie, sippy and/or snack cup around than an actual baby. It is hilarious! She actually was a little more interested in the baby today. As girly as she is starting to get she still has that adventurous side to her. When we were walking around in downtown Franklin she was climbing up into a chair then scooted out of it (over and over again...she did it about 10 times, so proud of herself). Well of course the last time she scooted out of the chair she leaned forward too much and got a nasty "boo boo" on her head. She cried for only 10 seconds and was ready to go again! (I wanted to explain why in some pictures she has a huge red circle in the middle of her forehead!)

So it has been almost a week but my friend just uploaded these fabulous photos from our date night last weekend. Connor and I went to dinner at the Melting Pot and to see Wicked with our friends Nikki & Josh. We had a blast and of course us ladies had a good excuse to get dressed up! Here are some pictures that we took!

Great pictures...

I am late getting these up but when we went to Meme and Papa's over a week ago, Connor's aunt took some great pictures! Here are just a few of the many she took...

Stats are in!

Ellison had her 18 month check up at the doctor this morning. She has made great progress and is a healthy girl! She weighs 23 lbs. 14 ounces (45% percentile) and 32 inches long (60% percentile). Let's remember she has always been below average in everything (at her 9 month check up she was in the 1% percentile for weight & 10% percentile for height). So she is growing just fine! It has been super yucky outside this week. LOTS of rain, more rain and more rain. We have been limited with what we can do so today we decided to go outside and play in the rain. My family gets back in town tonight after being away for 2 weeks in Italy (I am very excited to see them). Tomorrow night, Connor and I have a date night with our friends to the Melting Pot for dinner and then to see Wicked! We are SO excited! We hope everyone is doing well and will update more later :)

Happy 18 months (1 1/2 years) Ellison!

Ellison is 18 months old today! I cannot believe it...where has the time gone. It is overwhelming how much she has changed since her 1st birthday. She is like a little person running around, talking, following directions and simple commands (most of the time). Her understanding of things and words is incredible! I just can't even begin to express how in love I am with my daughter. She brings more joy and happiness into my life every single day!

The Farm

Yesterday we drove down to the Cantrell's Farm in Lynchburg, TN. We had a great time! The Cantrell Family had not seen Ellison since she was about 5 months old so it was so good they could spend time with her. Ryan (Connor's best friend) was one of Ellison's favorite people throughout the trip. She would follow him around the house and when Connor and I left to ride the 4 wheeler Ellison crawled into Ryan's lap and he read to her. We really had a blast! We came back early this morning and now we are just trying to do things around the house before going back to work.

Go Vols! and other stuff...

I love this dress!

Mommy and Ellison in their VOLS attire!

Making brownies with daddy!

We have had a busy weekend so far and it is only Saturday! Last night Connor and I had some friends over for dinner after Ellison went to bed and had a really nice time. This morning Ellison and I picked up my parents and brother, went to breakfast then dropped them off at the airport so they could catch their flight to Rome to start their 10 day cruise (super jealous here). Then we went to visit Ellison's cousin, Lee. He is only 3 days old and so tiny! I admit it gave me baby fever! We were very excited to dress in our Big Orange Country attire and support the VOLS! I have been waiting for football season to start so I could put this adorable dress on Ellison (see pictures). Tomorrow we are heading to "The Farm." This is a place that we went last summer right before I started my student teaching and Ellison was not even 5 months old. The Farm is in Lynchburg, TN and belongs to Connor's best friends family, The Cantrells. We are very excited to spend the day with all of them (more pics to come of the rest of our weekend :) Ellison did the cutest thing today! She now will point to a person she knows and says their name. So far she knows Bobo (Uncle Jeff-my brother), GJ (my mom), Poppy (my dad) and Sarah (Aunt Sarah). For those of you in the family not mentioned we are working on it! She has just really started to name people/family members. She has so many to learn! Also for the first time we asked her "where is Ellison" and she pointed to herself and said her name. It was priceless!
