Happy Friday!

Yay for Friday! I know I have been major slacker with blogging. We have had a lot of sickness in our house for the past 2 weeks. So instead of trying to catch up on 2 weeks I am just going to start with today. We only have 2 more weeks of school/work left! Our weekend is going to be a busy one! Last night, we had my family over to celebrate my grandfather's 80th birthday! It really isn't til tomorrow but we got together for dessert at our house last night. Ellison had a blast showing off to everyone and helping Claude open his gifts. Today Ellison spent time at a friend's house while Connor and I went to our 12 week check up! Baby Ball is doing wonderful. I am measuring exactly 12 weeks, we got to see "it" moving around all over the place and had a strong heartbeat of 168. We go back again in 4 weeks then our visit after that will be at 20 weeks and we will find out the gender.

Tomorrow evening is very special for Connor and me. Ellison is going to spend the night with her MeMac (Connor's mom). Connor and I are going to a nice dinner out, then attending the Jimmy Buffet concert (so excited) and Connor has reservations for us to stay at a hotel in Nashville tomorrow night. So it is a true date night that we really need! When we wake up Sunday morning we won't feel like we have to get up and do things around the house before we get Ellison. Instead we are going to go out to breakfast and enjoy the morning together! The Sunday afternoon my parents are having a cookout with a bunch of friends to celebrate my dad's upcoming 60th birthday!

Needless to say this weekend is going to fly by! And finally here is a picture of Baby Ball!

It's been awhile!

The weeks have flown by! I am way behind! We have not taken many pictures so I will just give a verbal update. Last week was busy being back at school/work. Last Friday we had a doctor's appointment to check on Baby Ball #2 and all looked well! We say arms, legs, the heartbeat and it did a little wiggling for us. I am measuring right on schedule (almost 11 weeks now)! Our weekend was low key, just ran errands, did stuff around the house, went to some garage sales AND we got Ellison bedding for her big girl bed! We plan on transitioning her at the start of the summer (along with some potty training)! Poor girl is in for a rude awakening ;) I will post pictures of her new big girl room after we make the transition. This week started out good until yesterday afternoon. I actually have a stomach virus (was up all night being sick). At first I thought it was morning sickness but I am about 100% sure it is a virus. I am staying home from work today while Ellison goes on to school so I can rest. This weekend we are scheduled to go to Knoxville to visit our dear friends, The McNally Family! We are very excited, the boys are going on a camping/fishing trip so us mommies and babies are going to have some quality time together :) Many pics will posted when we return!

Zoo for Aquatic Animals :)

I cannot believe our Spring Break is just about over. Ellison and I return to school/work tomorrow but it is only for 5 weeks and then we are out for the summer! We have had a great break just being at home. I have not felt all too wonderful but hopefully that will change as I approach the end of my first trimester. This past Friday, Connor took the day and off and we took Ellison to the Chattanooga Aquarium (Connor calls it the Zoo for Aquatic Animals). Ellison loved it! Since it was our first time going and we plan on returning one day, we definitely learned a few things to make the trip a little better as far as timing of everything. All in all though the 4 of us ;) had a great time being together. Here are some pictures from our adventure...

Big Surprise!

We celebrated another special occasion with all of our families this past weekend besides Easter! Miss Ellison is going to be a BIG SISTER! Baby Ball #2 is due on November 13th! We are very excited to share this wonderful news with friends and family :) It has been a semi-rough few weeks for me, with being very tired and nauseous...on top of working 4 days a week and keeping up with a 2 year old in my spare time :) Despite all of that, we feel so blessed and thankful for bringing another bundle of joy into our lives!

It is positive!

Right after we found out!

Ellison showing you the baby :)

Our family of 4 :)

We told our families over the Easter holiday. With each family we had Ellison take a grandparent a plastic eggs which had an ultrasound picture inside of it. Everyone was very excited and surprised (although some people had their suspiciouns ;) We had our first ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and saw the heartbeat, it was perfect! We go back next week so we will let everyone know how it goes! We just ask for continued support and prayers for a growing & healthy baby :)

Easter Fun

What a busy weekend we had! Ellison participated in 4 Easter Egg Hunts and we attended 3 family celebrations! Ellison LOVED hunting eggs. After each egg hunt was over she would start getting upset because there were no more eggs to find. She collected lots of goodies during all of our stops. Thank you to all of our families for such wonderful Easter celebrations!

Church Easter Egg Hunt...

This morning, Connor and I took Ellison to our church for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. The weather turned out gorgeous for it and Ellison had a lot of fun hunting eggs. We made a few new friends while there. Ellison was very proud of the little prizes she got in each of her eggs. Also (on a side note) the dress she is wearing is something I am personally proud of. It is adorable and we got tons of comments on it. The funny thing is that I found it at a consignment sale for $8.00!!! Notice the front AND back of the dress :) We are going to Columbia tonight to eat dinner and celebrate (Easter, Ben and Sarah's birthdays) with Connor's dads side of the family. Then in the morning we will go to Easter church service, have brunch with my family and then a later lunch with Connor's moms side of the family. Busy busy weekend!
