I love FALL!

I am loving the Fall weather and all of the Fall festivities that are approaching for the month of October. We are having materinity photos taken, going to Honey Suckle Hills Farm for some family fun, attending the Ghouls Fun Event at the Zoo, Connor's 30th birthday, doing our annual trip to Gentry's Farm for pumpkin picking, Pumpkinfest in downtown Franklin, Halloween fun with friends for trick or treating on Main Street, Connor and I have a big date night planned to dinner and to the Mumford & Sons concert AND I have a prenatal massage plus a "girls day" with one of my best friends, Nikki for lunch, pedicures and manicures! We are going to be busy bees and it won't slow down because right after our month of craziness we will only have 2 weeks til Eli's due date! Then follows Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Ellison's 3rd Birthday...on top of adjusting to life with our son, Eli :)

Along with Fall festivities comes Fall attire! I know this sounds cheesy but I am loving a lot of Ellison's Fall wardrobe this season. I have done a little shopping everywhere starting back in the summer...great consignment sales, online sales, ETSY and a few treats from family :) Here are some of my favorites...
A friend of mine did a Matilda Jane Trunk Show which is the only way you can purchase their clothing. I LOVE the style of the Matilda Jane line...

Another Matilda Jane combo...

With the help of my mom and grandmother, we hit up a Kellys Kids sale with free shipping for this outfit, I think its SO cute...

This is another Kellys Kids item the thing I love about it is that it is reversible...on the other side it is brown courdoroy with lollipops.

This is from a site I had never heard of before and it is probably one of my favorite dresses for Ellison...I saw a random advertisement for it called Art and Soul Boutique. This outfit was originally around $60 and I got it for a total of $20 with shipping.

These pants I got brand new at a consignment sale. The brand is Oilily...originally priced for $75 and I got them for $12. They are velvet and SO sassy :)

I do this every year...I get on ETSY (very dangerous site if you don't want to spend money) and find a fun/cute holiday dress, shirt...something that can be monogrammed to wear at school and for other holiday festivities. The prices are so cheap for what you get...

This is something I can't wait for...I have been searching for something for Eli to wear for Thanksgiving/Fall. It was hard to find something small enough in a newborn size that wasn't like a sleeper. There is a new store in downtown Franklin called It's Vintage Baby and they have the SWEETEST stuff. My mom, grandmother and I went in their about a month and found these. Not only something for Eli but something for Ellison as well. When we have Eli's newborn photos taken we will be dressing up in these beautiful outfits for some Fall photos of the new brother and sister pair. I know Eli's will be a little big but I figured I can pin the back to tighten and cuff the leg. It will be perfect! Plus they will get LOTS of wear out of these. I am so excited!

Baby Shower for Eli!

Today was a very fun and special day! My mom and grandmother hosted a baby shower for Eli :) It was so wonderful! The company was great, the food was super yummy (thank you dad!), Ellison loved entertaining everybody...we (Connor and I) just feel so incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such loving friends and families. A huge THANK YOU goes out to my mom and grandmother for their hard work in putting together such a sweet shower in celebration of my son's arrival! (that sounds so weird ;) Thank you to everyone who came, I greatly appreciate your support and love!

Yummy food! Thanks to the caterer (my dad :)

Splish Splash...Ellison gave the dogs a bath!

Ellison had a fun project to do with her daddy...she helped give the doodles (our dogs) a bath! She LOVED it and we loved watching her do it...

I tried to cloth her a little more but then we thought, what the heck? She was going to get all wet and dirty anyway. She insisted on wearing the shades though...I mean could she get any cuter?

I am going to TRY and do better...

I use to be good at posting blog entries but lately I just cannot seem to find the time! The past couple of weeks we have just stayed busy with school, work, doing things to get ready for Eli, spending time together as a family, hanging out with friends and getting ready for the FALL! Today I am 33 weeks pregnant...7 more weeks to go (or maybe a little less :) We are really feeling ready for Eli's arrival. His room is looking SUPER cute and is really coming together. I will post pictures within the next week or so. I have 2 baby showers to look forward to (thank you so much to my mom and grandmother for hosting one and for some of my dear girlfriends for hosting another...we feel SO blessed). Miss Ellison has been doing great, she has had a couple of 24 hour virus bugs the past 2 weekends but recovered very quickly. Here are a few pictures from the past couple of weeks...

We went to Family Day at Harlinsdale Park...it was very fun. We rode the hayride, took a train ride and Ellison rode a donkey!

She was so proud of herself

Watching more Tennessee football...GO VOLS!

Helping her baby doll color

Being a little diva...she ALWAYS has to pack her purple purse full of random things to take on every car ride...

Here is my friend Erin and I...she is pregnant with twins at 24 weeks and I am pregnant with Eli at 32 weeks.
I have been awful at taking pregnancy/belly shots BUT our photographer that did all of Ellison's photos will be doing a maternity session with us in just a couple of weeks!

We had some of our dear friends over for the dinner last weekend. Ellison and Ava had a blast playing together, dressing up like princesses and eating like big girls at their table...aren't they precious?

Lately Ellison is ALWAYS wanting to play dress up!

We hope everyone is doing well and I will have lots to post after tomorrow from my first baby shower for Eli!

Our weekend!

We had quite the productive weekend! First of all I want to say Happy 30 months to my precious daughter, Miss Ellison! I cannot believe she is 2 1/2 years old!

I definitely am experiencing some nesting urges. After a short week of school/work, Ellison and I had a very busy Friday running errands. We started the morning with a coffee/doughnut playdate with our friends, The Ogles. We all rode together to get some Dunkin Doughnuts & coffee for the mamas :) then we took the kids to the park to play. After that, Ellison and I ate lunch with my grandmother...thanks Nan! Then we ran a couple of errands, finally headed home for naps. After naps we had to run a few more errands and ended the evening back at our friends house for dinner. We had pizza and the kids played. It was a great ending to a busy day!

On Saturday we had some family time at home then met up with our friends at a park for some morning play time. Our original plan was to attend this "Fall Fest" near the mall but it did not turn out to be quite what we were expecting. Around lunch time, we loaded up and headed to Columbia to visit Connor's grandparents and to attend Ellison's cousins (Lee) first birthday party! We had a great time and Ellison enjoyed all of the sweet treats :) We headed home (Ellison still had no nap at this point) to prepare for an evening spent watching the VOLS play some football! Ellison was dressed in her appropriate attire of course...

Looking cute for football time in TN!

She wanted to pose for the camera with her heels on

Our little VOL routing for her team!
The cheerleader outfit she is wearing in this picture was mine when I was Ellison's age. It fits her perfect!

After Ellison went to bed and Connor was occupied with all of the football entertainment on, my best friend Nikki came over to have some girl time outside on our patio. It was a great night for it and we had a blast! I am so thankful for my girlfriends :)

Yesterday was my nesting day. Ellison was home for most of the morning then my parents came to get her for a few hours so Connor and I could get some stuff done on our "to do" list. I washed ALL of Eli's clothes, bedding, car seat cover, toy seat covers, etc. I got all of his baby clothes organized by sizes and wrote a new "to do list" for before he arrives. Connor and I got some things organized in the attic and pulled out our Fall decorations which I hope to get up later this week. We set up the bassinet/moses basket in our room for Eli and I cleaned up the house a little bit. It was very productive but I still feel like I have SO much to do! I know I have about 8 weeks before he arrives but our weekends are starting to fill up and who really knows when Eli may make his precious appearance :)

We are starting another full work week and then this upcoming weekend is really our last open weekend with not having much to do. We will probably try to get more things done for Eli's room and paint the kids bathroom. We hope everyone had a great weekend and we will catch up later this week!

A fun day off!

So this past Monday was Labor Day which meant no school or work for us! So we headed to downtown Franklin to celebrate the Franklin Classic Run. They had a KidZone set up with games, inflatables, yummy sweet treats, balloons, face painting, etc. Connor spent the morning fishing so Ellison and I met up with a friend and her son at the KidZone.

Being silly!

After the KidZone event, Ellison and I went shopping with my mom and grandmother. My mission was to find a cute Fall outfit for Eli. Something to have for his newborn pictures since he will be born just shy of Thanksgiving. After looking at MANY places we stopped at a new boutique in downtown Franklin called It's Vintage Baby. Lets just say we hit the jackpot plus some :) We found a precious brown cordouroy JonJon with a small pocket on the chest (I am going to have his initials monogrammed on the pocket) and of course we found this BEAUTIFUL Fall smocked courdoroy dress for Ellison that matched the JonJon perfectly! And then we came across shoes and a hair bow for Ellison. Yes we went overboard but we couldn't say NO! I am SO excited about their matching Fall outfits. Especially knowing the pictures will be gorgeous taken outside in the Fall weather. Thank you TONS GJ and Nan :)

Only 1 more day left of school/work for Ellison and me this week. It went by super fast! We also would like to congratulate Ellison's Aunt Sarah on her new job! She will be a 4th grade teacher in Williamson County! YAY Sarah!
