Friday Fun in Downtown Franklin!

This past Friday night was the grand opening of the new and improved downtown Franklin Theater! They closed off the downtown streets and area, set up 3 huge movie screens down 3 different side streets and showed movies outdoors open to the public for viewing. So we packed up the kiddos, picked up some fried chicken and other goodies then headed to downtown. I must say it was awesome and SO much fun. We claimed our spot for the showing of The Wizard of Oz. Two other family friends (The Gore Family and The Twiford Family) of ours met up with us and we all just piled in for the evening with all of our kiddos. By the time we ate and the movie started, downtown Franklin was PACKED! We got snow cones, ate popcorn, danced and the kiddos LOVED the movie. Everyone did great with no crying or whining. Even Elic stayed awake for the whole entire movie. We hope Franklin will do it again sometime over the summer. We loved it!
We got our little spot set up for the movie!
I know, bad picture of Ellison but the girls were having a ball!

Thank you so much for your advice/thoughts. It definitely meant alot and to know that other moms have felt the same way, but also survived the transition from 1 to 2 children is so comforting! I love blogging too - and I will definitely be reading yours :)
